Farm Gate Sales

In general, primary produce sales (farm gate sales) are permitted in agricultural areas such as;

• Farming;
• Green wedge;
• Rural activity, and;
• Urban growth zones within a planning scheme.

There are several regulatory permits you might need from Council:

• A Planning Permit;
• An Environmental Health Registration, and/or;
• A Local Laws Permit.

Other approvals might need to be obtained from Council, for example, regarding parking and/or traffic restrictions.
