An advisory committee of Council that works in collaboration with Council’s Cultural Development Officer and Arts and Culture Manager.
The Audit and Risk Committee is a Committee established by Council for the purposes of the Local Government Act 2020. The Committees role is to provide appropriate advice and recommendations on matters relevant to its Charter in order to facilitate decision making by Council in relation to the discharge of its responsibilities.
The Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee provides provides Council with links to the broader aged and disability communities and explores issues that impact older people within the municipality, particularly in relation to the promotion of wellbeing of older people. The committee also explore issues impacting people with a disability living in, working in, or visiting Baw Baw Shire.
Works in collaboration with Council’s Family and Children’s Services Officers to provide advice and recommendations to Council on matters relating to the early years.
Provides advice and recommendations in relation to strategies, education programs and issues in relation to environment matters.
The Healthy in Baw Baw Advisory Committee focuses on providing advice and recommendations relevant to the development, implementation and review of the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan.
Provides appropriate advice and recommendations on place-naming matters in order to facilitate decision making by the Council in relation to the discharge of its responsibilities.
