Road Closures and Changed Conditions

Current and Expected Road Closures

Weebar Road, Drouin 

  • Northbound on Weebar Road, Drouin will be closed for the access from the South of the intersection of Weebar Road and King Parrot Boulevard (North of King Parrot Boulevard) until the roundabout at Main South Road and Weebar Road is completed. This decision has been done by Department of Transport and Council to address the safety issues at the intersection of Main South Road and Weebar Road.
  • Please follow detour signs on Illawarra Boulevard and Main South Road. Please note that there will not be changes for Southbound traffic on Weebar Road.

Mt Baw Baw Tourist Road

A section of the Mt Baw Baw Tourist Road near Tanjil Bren will be closed for a period of six weeks (beginning 12 February 2024) while landslip repairs are carried out. Detours are in place via Willow Grove Road and South Face Road.

Current Landslips Effecting Baw Baw Roads

Due to significant rainfall in the the region, land slippages have occurred and are currently effecting five Baw Baw roads. These roads are:

  • Sunny Creek Road, Trafalgar South
  • Warragul Leongatha Road, Seaview
  • Yarragon Leongatha Road, Allambee
  • Ferndale Strzelecki Road, Ferndale
  • Allambee Estate Road, Seaview

These roads remain open, with some locations reduced to a single lane where required. Drivers are encouraged to approach the sites with caution and take note of any traffic controls in place.
