What Happens to Waste and Recycling After Collection

Who collects our waste and recycling?

All regularly scheduled kerbside waste is collected by our contractor, Solo Resource Recovery.

Where does it go? 

Mixed Recycling

Kerbside collected mixed recycling goes to Re-Group Dandenong Material Recovery Facility (formerly Polytrade), where they sort and separate all of the recyclables including paper and cardboard, plastics, steel and aluminium.

Glass Recycling

Kerbside collected mixed recycling goes to Re-Group Dandenong Material Recovery Facility (formerly Polytrade), where they sort all of the glass.

Garden Organics (Green Waste)

All green waste goes to PineGro in Morwell.

General Rubbish

All general rubbish goes to the Veolia Hampton Park Landfill Smart Cell at 274 Hallam Road, Hampton Park VIC 3976.
