Volunteering

Volunteering provides opportunities for people to become involved in their community, to meet others and make a positive and valuable contribution.

Volunteering:

  • benefits both the community and the volunteer
  • promotes equality and human rights; respecting the dignity, rights and culture of others
  • is undertaken and freely chosen by a person without coercion
  • is unpaid community work
  • does not seek to replace paid workers but is a designated volunteer position only.

Volunteer induction program for successful applicants

All successful volunteer applicants are required to undertake an online volunteer induction program.

Successful applicants will receive notification and login instructions from Council's Community Programs team.

If you have received your notification to proceed with induction, please click below.

Click here to access the Volunteer Induction Portal.

Baw Baw Shire Council's online volunteer induction program has been made possible by funding secured through the Victorian Government's Let's Stay Connected Fund, designed to help communities stay connected during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and beyond.
