Health and Food Requirements

If you want to sell food, accommodate people or provide cosmetic services, you will most likely be required to be registered under the current food and health Acts.

This section will provide you with the relevant information and forms to get you on your way.

There may be other Council, state, federal, or other regulating agencies who have input or require your registration.

This includes but is not limited to:

• The Victorian Commission for gambling and Liquor regulation if you intend to have gaming machines and/or sell alcohol .
• You may be required to get advice from a building surveyor to ensure your property is compliant. You can find these surveyors through the Victorian Building Authority.

Please be advised that all new Applications for Registration under the Food Act, and the Public Health and Wellbeing Act, must be submitted and the application fee paid before the application can be assessed by an Officer.
