FIRE PREVENTION NOTICE
10 CHURCH STREET, LONGWARRY
In accordance with Schedule 5 of the Country Fire Authority Act 1958 and Regulation 143(1) of the Country Fire Authority Regulations, Baw Baw Shire Council’s Assistant Municipal Fire Prevention Officer, gives notice that the occupier of 10 Church Street, Longwarry (Property number 13161, V 8007 F 117 Lot 1 TP 180361U Drouin West Parish) is directed to complete the works specified below:
Cut all grass, weeds (including blackberries) and undergrowth to not more than 100mm in height from the whole property including any private road, laneway or easement.
This condition must be maintained for the entire duration of the declared Fire Danger Period.
All works must be completed no later than 5.00 pm on Friday, 6 February 2026.
Council will be undertaking secondary inspections, and if the work has been completed as directed, no further action will be taken.
An objection to this notice may be lodged under section 41B of the Country Fire Authority Act 1958, and an appeal may be made to the outcome of that objection under section 41C of that Act.
