Early Years Advisory Committee

   

The role of the Early Years Advisory Committee’s is to provide information and advice to Council on Early Years matters, including (but not limited to):

  • Play spaces for children (indoor and outdoor)
  • Occasional care
  • All abilities facilities
  • Playgroups
  • Kindergartens
  • Indigenous early years literacy & health
  • Supporting development in the 0-3 years age bracket

The Committee also provides specific feedback, advice and recommendations on Council projects and draft policies related to Early Years activities, programs and initiatives.  A key function of the committee supports the two-way communication of the Municipal Early Years Plan initiatives and outcomes.

Committee members share ideas and knowledge about how Early Years services provided within the Shire can be improved, and raise awareness of Early Years issues in the community where appropriate.
