Join the Committee

Being on the Amplify Committee is a great way for young people from the area to develop event management skills and connections with the music industry with support and guidance from Council officers.

What does the Amplify committee do?

Throughout the program, the Amplify Committee will have fortnightly meetings either face to face at Council Service Centre or via online meetings.

During the meetings, Amplify Committee members will have the opportunity to develop skills in a range of areas including:

  • Brainstorming and planning events
  • Contacting and allocating performers
  • Designing promotional material.
  • Sound and production 
  • Photography
  • Managing budgets
  • Contacting and booking suppliers
  • Organising risk management procedures.

Committee members also run events on the day, including managing performers, suppliers and crew and solving any problems that arise. Being a participant Baw Baw Amplify program requires a significant level of commitment from all committee members. 

When:

  • Fortnightly meetings as agreed with members and Council Youth Officer
  • Participate at local Amplify events as planned across the year.

Who:

  • Be aged between 12 - 25 years old
  • Live, work or study in Baw Baw Shire
  • Be able to attend at least 70% of weekly meetings
  • Be able to attend Amplify events and training opportunities.
