Baw Baw Shire Council has launched a Parking Infringement Refund Scheme after identifying an administrative issue that has resulted in an over-collection of parking infringement fines.

Baw Baw Shire Council has today announced the appointment of Cohen Van der Velde as the organisation's Interim Chief Executive Officer.
Council voted to offer the temporary leadership role to Mr Van der Velde during this afternoon’s confidential Council Meeting.
Martin Hopley, who was the Shire’s Interim Chief Executive Officer, is currently on unplanned, personal leave.
Baw Baw Shire Mayor Cr Danny Goss said Mr Van der Velde would step into the role while a comprehensive recruitment process for a new permanent Chief Executive Officer takes place.
“We thank Cohen for supporting us through this period and look forward to commencing the recruitment process for our new CEO.”
Mr Van der Velde has been appointed interim CEO until 16 April 2025.
