A series of shows allowing small group or solo performers the chance to showcase their talent in an intimate venue on a regular basis. The shows are presented in a “Folk Club” atmosphere, low lighting, small tables, BYO snack or for sale. It is aimed to pay musicians a minimum base rate and then share of entry fee. Presented at the Drouin Hub hall in Oak Street, with great sound quality, the shows are recorded for broadcast on 3BBR FM. This month features Kris Mizzi, whose lyrics reflect his life and friends in a hard town and Peter and Nikki Baird who have a '70's folk feel to their observational songs. We also introduce young local performers.
