- Saturday 14th March – Noojee Heritage Centre (Session 4)
- Sunday 15th March – Rokeby Town Hall. (Session 5)
Part of GIFF’s mission is to elevate Gippsland’s profile as an inspiring location for filmmaking and foster a community around film culture. By showcasing bold, independent cinema and building connections between regional artists and the screen industry, the festival aims long term to build a lasting creative legacy in the heart of West Gippsland.
The 2025-2026 selection panel features six local voices in screen and media, including Alana Auden and Edward Yates, both of whom bring their experience as writers, directors, and producers. Our other selection panel members for the festival include Sarah Duck, Sarah Hurwood, Joyce Agee and Josh Darby. Their commitment to storytelling and regional engagement ensures a program that will be both artistically rich and locally resonant.
Gippsland’s cinematic potential is vast. From its dramatic coastlines and forested ranges to its vibrant communities and heritage architecture, the region offers filmmakers a compelling canvas.
GIFF warmly invites the community to attend one of our five short film screenings and talk with artists between sessions or explore collaborative opportunities. Together, we can create a community around the shared enjoyment of stories on screen.
