Baw Baw Candlelight Vigil - National Day of Remembrance

Every year on National Family Violence Remembrance Day the community, sector leaders and key stakeholders come together to honour and remember loved ones and provide a space to share stories of resilience, ignite hope and motivate change.
National Family Violence Remembrance Day is the first Wednesday of May each year, as part of Domestic Violence Prevention Month.
This year, the Candlelight Vigil will take place on Wednesday 6 May 2026.

Community members can bring their own candle (electronic) or use one supplied on the night. Support services including Quantum Support Services and Gippsland Centre Against Sexual Assault will be available on the night for referral and advice.
