Baw Baw Shire Council has launched a Parking Infringement Refund Scheme after identifying an administrative issue that has resulted in an over-collection of parking infringement fines.

Baw Baw Shire Council will be carrying out road and drainage improvement works at the Hopetoun Road and Buln Buln Road roundabout as part of our ongoing Long Term Infrastructure Plan for 2026/27.
The works will include upgrading the existing stormwater drainage pipes around the roundabout from 225mm and 300mm to 450mm and repairing and resurfacing the road pavement. These improvements will help reduce flooding in the area and also provide a safer, smoother road surface for everyone.
Works are expected to start Monday 26 October 2026 and will run between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. We expect the works to take approximately 6 weeks to complete.
Traffic management will be in place throughout the works to keep everyone safe. Our contractor will coordinate with our residents and nearby businesses about the possible detours and temporary closures, and we will do our best to keep disruptions minimum.
