The Salvation Army - Drive for Life - L2P

The Drive for Life L2P learner driver mentor program supports young people under 21 years of age who do not have access to a supervising driver, suitable vehicle or both, to gain the 120 hours of supervised driving experience required to apply for a probationary licence.

To join the Drive for Life L2P program as a Learner, you must:

  • Be between 16-21 years of age (in some circumstances Learners up to 23 years of age may be accepted)
  • Hold a current Learners permit
  • Not have access to a supervising driver, suitable vehicle or both

Do you want to make a positive difference in the life of a young person facing adversity - become a Drive for Life L2P Volunteer Mentor

Do you have:

  • A current unrestricted driver licence
  • The maturity and patience to mentor a learner
  • Two hours per month or fortnight

To Apply:

  • Log in to your personal VIC Roads Account
  • Navigate to Licences and Permits
  • Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Apply as a Learner in the TAC L2P program or Apply as a Mentor in the TAC L2P program and complete application form
  • Ensure you select Baw Baw as your local program
