West Gippsland Bush Walkers
West Gippsland Bush Walkers fosters adventure, friendship and fitness. The club has day walks on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month. The club has three walking groups catering for differing walking abilities. The Rambler group walk from 5 to 8 kms with minimal hills. The Hikers group are a little harder and up to 14 km. Walks with the Trekers group are more challenging and up to 18 km.
Walks are in areas such as the Bunyip State Park, Mount Worth National Park, Baw Baw National Park, Bass coastline and Phillip Island. Most walks are followed by coffee at a local coffee shop and there is a Christmas dinner and a BBQ in February.
The club also has a week away each autumn and spring usually based at a caravan park with a range of accommodation at locations across Victoria and sometimes interstate. Day walks are undertaken in the locality for the three walking groups.
The club is an incorporated body run by a Committee of Management and is affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria.
