Local youth groups and organisations across the Shire have partnered with Council to offer a range of free and low-cost events, activities and workshops for Baw Baw’s youth these school holidays.
Commencing Monday 26 June, young people aged between 12 - 25 are encouraged to sign up and join in the fun variety of youth activities, tailored to all ages and interests.
“We’ve got a jam-packed school holiday program on offer for Baw Baw’s young people over the next two weeks. Many of the activities are affordable and some are even free, so I encourage you to check out what’s on and book ahead for those that interest you, to avoid missing out” says Baw Baw Shire Mayor, Annemarie McCabe.
Here’s a preview on what’s happening over the big two weeks:
West Gippsland Arts Centre is also offering shows and workshops for young people of all ages, including Express Yourself, a workshop with visual artist and illustrator Luke John Matthew Arnold who uses text, bold colour, motifs and compositions to celebrate many facets of life and Junklandia, where ordinary recycled materials are transformed into extraordinary musical instruments.
