All aboard a very special journey down Stringer’s Creek Gorge. Experience the beauty of our railway. Arrive early to Walhalla station and collect your tickets and select the seat that suits. Enjoy a ride through the beautiful bush at Walhalla. Trains on weekends and trolleys on Wednesdays.
Trains and Trolleys depart from Walhalla Station where accessible services are available; we have a ramp and space for wheelchairs and prams. We have accessible toilets at Walhalla station and a baby change table. Well behaved dogs are permitted on a lead.
Parking is available at Walhalla in the South car park. Take your time driving to Walhalla and arrive in time to collect your tickets and grab a coffee for your journey.
Visitors need to plan their day in Walhalla - there is lots to see and do including a tour of our cemetery, climb up to the cricket ground, visit the old post office, the museum, walk along the tramway, have a picnic in Stringers park, tour the Long Tunnel Extended Mine.
Food and coffee available in the Goods Shed Cafe at Walhalla station, at the Witchery Cafe in Walhalla and at the Walhalla Lodge Hotel.
