Youth Week 2021

Running from Saturday 26 June to Friday 2 July, Youth Week 2021 has lots of great activities and opportunities to grab your friends and get involved.

Arts and crafts, drone and stop motion filming, music, fitness, e-sports and more! Check the daily listings and get involved. Just remember! Some events need you to register in advance, so be sure to check the info and get yourself booked in.

Monday 28 June

Stop Motion 

Join us at the Warragul Library for a Stop Motion session.

Stop Motion is an animation technique to make any object you choose to appear as if it’s moving on its own.

Tuesday 29 June

Djembe Drumming

Join Healing the beat for djembe rhythms and mindfulness over these school holiday. Learn the basic sounds of the djembe in a fun environment with some tips on how to being mindfulness into your life.


Minecraft Party

Join us at the Warragul Library to play Minecraft and eat some yummy food! Prizes to be won.


Pool Inflatable

Spectacular fun as you bounce, balance and manoeuvre your way through our pool inflatable in the indoor 25 metre pool. Suitable for ages 6-18, children under 10 must be supervised be an adult.

  • Location: Warragul Leisure Centre, 21 Burke Street, Warragul.
  • Time: 1:00-3:00pm
  • Cost: $7.90 per child, bookings are not required. 

Basic Flow Yoga

This class is perfect for anyone new to yoga, or wanting a refresher in the basics. You will be guided through the fundamental postures, sun salutation sequences, pranayama (yogic breathing techniques) and meditation. A beautiful relaxing and refreshing class for all levels. 


Art Printmaking Workshop with Helen Timbury 

This art workshop will involve participants drawing a design, carving into soft lino and then printing their small block onto calico fabric and paper to take home. No experience necessary.

Movies and Colouring

Come along to the Warragul Library to watch a movie while doing some adult colouring. The movie we’re showing is the 2019 version of Little Women. Snacks will be provided.


Tween and Teen Yoga

Creates energy, strength, flexibility and well-being whilst aligning and balancing the body, mind and spirit. Suitable for ages 12-18, children under 10 must be supervised be an adult.

State of the Art Murals Workshop - Introduction to Aerosol Art

Come along to this free introduction to aerosol art with Sheldon from State of the Art Murals. Strictly limited to 10 participants per session. Participants must have a ticket and be a library member. It is easy and free to join by visiting a branch or www.wgrlc.vic.gov.au


Yin Yoga & Meditation

Yin Yoga is a slow and meditative style. You hold poses for 2-5 minutes and working deeply on the flexibility of both muscles and muscle attachments. We often use props, such as bolsters, pillows and blankets to support our body to move deeper into the postures.

This is a beautiful opportunity to slow right down and breathe deeply, particularly if you lead a busy and fast paced life. Balancing out our Yin and Yang elements are very important for leading a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.


 3x3 Basketball hosted by Streetgames and GippsSport 

Come down and enjoy some fun 3x3 basketball. Bring along your own team or join a team on the day.

Intro into Drone with Michael from Drift Media

Michael Green from Drift Media will be visiting the Warragul library for two separate drone information sessions, one being 3 hours, the other one hour long.

PlayStation Party

Fitness Friday

A fun fitness program including obstacle course, high intensity and non-stop movement at your own pace. Designed to improve strength and conditioning in a focused, fun and social environment.

How to Draw Manga

Improve your manga drawing skills in this one hour drawing session with Kenny Chan. Awesome for beginners or those with drawing experience. Ages 12+ Drawing materials provided but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Membership is required. It is free and easy to join the Library by visiting your local branch or www.wgrlc.vic.gov.au
