Here in Baw Baw Shire, we offer a range of different services, programs, events and activities to encourage young people (aged 12 to 25) to grow, form leadership skills, join in at events and activities as well as getting more involved in the community.
Victorian Youth Week happens in April. The next one is on between 5-14 April 2019. Check out the website for special events.

We are always looking for young people to get involved in our FReeZA program!
FReeZA is a funded youth development program that provides opportunities for young Victorians aged 12-25 across metropolitan, regional and rural Victoria to enjoy live band gigs, dance parties and other cultural, recreational and artistic events that are drug, alcohol and smoke-free in supervised and safe venues.

The Baw Baw Youth Network meets once a month to keep up to date with what’s going on in Baw Baw, and to work together on special events, like Youth Week. Click to find out more about the Baw Baw Youth Network.
Council uses policies and strategies to set the direction for developing communities in Baw Baw. In 2018, over 600 young people from across Baw Baw gave their ideas about what is important to them, and what they need from their community. This information was used to write a Youth Policy and then Building The Best Years – Youth Strategy 2018-2022.(PDF, 5MB)
