Consultation Closed - Yarragon Playground Renewal Project (Phase 1)

Baw Baw Shire Council is planning to renew the play space at Howard Park in Yarragon, with works planned to begin in early-mid 2021.

To make sure the renewal is in line with community expectation, all interested community members were asked to have their say on initial designs by 6 December 2020.

Council has also undertaken direct consultation with local schools and kindergartens for this project.

What's involved?

Phase 1 – Initial consultation (Closed)

Community members were invited to have their say on the what they’d like to see included in the renewal of the play space at Howard Park in Yarragon, with consideration to an overall budget of $75,000. 

Phase 1 consultation closed on 6 December 2020.

Phase 2 – Follow up consultation and design selection (early 2021) 

Following Phase 1 consultation, and based on the feedback received, Council will undertake the second phase of consultation in early 2021, presenting 3 potential designs for community consideration and approval.

Phase 3 – Works commence (early-mid 2021)

With a design selected, the project will move the third and final phase, with works planned to be undertaken in early-mid 2021.
