Project Summary

Baw Baw Shire Council, as the coordinating road authority for Council managed roads, has a statutory obligation to inspect, maintain and repair these roads, in accordance with the Road Management Act 2004 (The Act). The Act provides an opportunity for Council to develop a Road Management Plan (RMP). The RMP guides Council’s maintenance of its road and path network, while also providing clarity to the community about the road related services and service levels that Council delivers.

The current Road Management Plan was adopted by Council on 24 May 2017 and Council is required to review the plan every 4 years. Recognising this, Council has undertaken a review process and identified opportunities of improvement to the plan.

Prior to further consideration by Council, the community is invited to share their thoughts on the draft Road Management Plan. Feedback collated from the community through this Have Your Say process will be collated and presented to Council in April 2021. The community will also have an opportunity to speak to their submission at the 28 April 2021 Council Meeting.
