Baw Baw Shire Council, as the coordinating road authority for Council managed roads, has a statutory obligation to inspect, maintain and repair these roads, in accordance with the Road Management Act 2004 (The Act). The Act provides an opportunity for Council to develop a Road Management Plan (RMP). The RMP guides Council’s maintenance of its road and path network, while also providing clarity to the community about the road related services and service levels that Council delivers.
The current Road Management Plan was adopted by Council on 24 May 2017 and Council is required to review the plan every 4 years. Recognising this, Council has undertaken a review process and identified opportunities of improvement to the plan.
Prior to further consideration by Council, the community is invited to share their thoughts on the draft Road Management Plan. Feedback collated from the community through this Have Your Say process will be collated and presented to Council in April 2021. The community will also have an opportunity to speak to their submission at the 28 April 2021 Council Meeting.
Phase 1 – Initial consultation (Consultation Closed 28 April 2021)
Using the form below community members are invited to have their say on Council’s draft Road Management Plan.

Phase 2 – Consultation feedback presentation to Council (28 April 2021)
Following Phase 1 consultation the feedback collated from the community will be presented to Council for further deliberation. An opportunity will also be presented for community members to speak to their submission.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Your thoughts and ideas are highly valued and will ultimately form part of Council’s decision making.
Council Officers will consolidate comments and feedback and consider all submissions to assist in making further recommendations to Council.
