The Draft Infrastructure Asset Management Strategy(PDF, 4MB) (Strategy) has been prepared to enable Council to improve the long-term management of its infrastructure assets. It establishes a framework and provides a set of actions aimed at enhancing asset management in the organisation. The strategy aligns with the objectives of the Council Plan to assist achieving the outcomes of the Council Plan.

The Strategy's purpose

The purpose of this Strategy is to integrate Council's objectives, desired service delivery outcomes and future challenges to develop a set of actions that aim to improve the asset management functions of the organisation and ensure that our assets are providing value for money. It is intended to identify how the asset management process will respond to the challenges of managing infrastructure assets sustainably, which underpins the service delivery to the community.

The Strategy applies to all infrastructure assets which are owned, controlled or managed by Council.
