The Draft Infrastructure Asset Management Strategy(PDF, 4MB) (Strategy) has been prepared to enable Council to improve the long-term management of its infrastructure assets. It establishes a framework and provides a set of actions aimed at enhancing asset management in the organisation. The strategy aligns with the objectives of the Council Plan to assist achieving the outcomes of the Council Plan.
The purpose of this Strategy is to integrate Council's objectives, desired service delivery outcomes and future challenges to develop a set of actions that aim to improve the asset management functions of the organisation and ensure that our assets are providing value for money. It is intended to identify how the asset management process will respond to the challenges of managing infrastructure assets sustainably, which underpins the service delivery to the community.
The Strategy applies to all infrastructure assets which are owned, controlled or managed by Council.
This is a strategic document to set the direction of the delivery of asset management by Council into the future. Council is now seeking your input and feedback on the draft strategy to ensure that it meets the expectations of the community before it is finalised for Council adoption later this year (2021). Initial consultation was open until Sunday 6 June 2021.
Following Phase 1 consultation the feedback collated from the community will be presented to Council for further deliberation.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Your thoughts and ideas are highly valued and will ultimately form part of Council’s decision making process.
Council Officers will consolidate comments and feedback and consider all submissions to assist in making further recommendations to Council.
