Council invited community members, key stakeholder agencies, including early years service providers, and Council officers to inform the review and update of the Baw Baw Early Years Infrastructure Plan.
 
The feedback provided will assist with the development of a draft Municipal Early Years Infrastructure Plan to present to Council for adoption.

 

This community consultation opportunity closed on 4 April 2023.

 

Background

The purpose of the consultation is to gather information from the community, key stakeholder agencies including early years services providers and Council officers to inform the review and update of the Baw Baw Early Years Infrastructure Plan. 

Key elements to be explored through the consultation are: 

  • What supports families to access early years services and infrastructure
  • What creates barriers or makes it difficult for families to access early years services and infrastructure e.g. lack of spaces available, travel distances, operating hours, lack of information etc.
  • Family preferences and aspirations for early years’ service models and infrastructure.
  • Understanding the extent of and any change in demand for early years services and infrastructure.
  • Key issues and opportunities associated with the current provision and management of early years services and infrastructure.
  • The condition and capacity of existing early years infrastructure to support current and future community needs.
  • Opportunities to change or consolidate early years infrastructure or services and provide early years infrastructure that will meet future community needs.
  • Priorities for improving or investing in early years services and infrastructure.

Your feedback on the draft Plan is highly valued.

Council Officers will consolidate comments and feedback and consider all submissions to assist in finalising the document and making further recommendations to Council.
