Baw Baw Shire Council's 2023 Draft Advocacy Priorities(PDF, 2MB) are a list of projects and areas of community need which require funding and support from other levels of government and/or stakeholders to be delivered for our community.

The priorities align with key focus areas from the Council Plan 2021-2025 and aim to reflect the Community Vision for a sustainable, healthy and thriving future. The priorities were selected based on the following six criteria:

  • Alignment to the Council Plan and adopted strategies
  • Regional significance
  • Project Scope
  • Financial sustainability
  • Stakeholder Consultation
  • Income

Council endorsed the Draft Advocacy Priorities 2023 on Wednesday 14 December 2022. The Priorities have now been been placed on exhibition and Council is seeking feedback to ensure that they reflect our communities’ expectations.

In 2023, Council will focus its lobbying, strategic partnerships and grant efforts on delivering these priorities. Council will revise its Advocacy Priorities for 2023 based on the results of this consultation.
