Community Planning

Community planning is about bringing people together to discuss and plan for the future of their communities. Community Plans help promote a more connected, vibrant, sustainable, liveable and healthy community.

Council has committed to supporting two communities develop to develop their community plan.

In November 2019, Baw Baw Shire is inviting Expressions of Interest from communities that would like to participate.  Baw Baw Shire Council will be looking for communities that are located in the East or West wards, have not previously had a community plan, are able to coordinate a group of members from within the community to develop and implement the plan and recognise any links to Municipal Council Plans.

For more information about who can develop a community plan and how your community can get involved, please download the Community Planning Fact Sheet(PDF, 162KB).

Once you've read the fact sheet, interested communities are invited to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to Council via this SmartyGrants link to be considered for support service.

EOI submissions will open on Wednesday 30 October, closing at 9.00am on Tuesday 26 November 2019.
