Council is extending and upgrading the the Longwarry Kindergarten into a state-of-the-art early learning centre.
The $1 million project will see the existing facility expanded from a single room kindergarten to a multi-room facility, capable of providing up to 96 kindergarten spaces across three and four year old groups. The redeveloped facility will also provide much needed space for community groups to use.
The project is being delivered by Baw Baw Shire Council in partnership with the Victorian Government, who has contributed $500,000 to the project through its Growing Suburbs Fund. The remaining $500,000 balance is being contributed by Council as part of its Capital Works Program.
The facility will feature new flexible use spaces, connected indoor and outdoor areas to promote learning and play, a refurbished kitchen, large entry foyer, staff areas and toilet amenities.
