Warragul Town Centre Masterplan Community Open Day

The community open day will bring the Draft Warragul Town Centre Masterplan to life showcasing what promises to be one of the most significant proposed transformations of the Warragul Town Centre.  The event will feature live performances from local street performers, interactive games and a community art display.

 

There will be plenty of photo opportunities with Councillors, the Mayor and members of the community.

 

The Mayor, Cr. Di Blackwood will be available for telephone interviews leading up to the event.

About the Draft Warragul Town Centre Masterplan

Your Town, Your Future, Your Plan!

The Draft Warragul Town Centre Masterplan is bold vision to create the vibrant communities and amenities that the community wants.  It has been developed after extensive community consultation and is part of the Baw Baw Shire Council’s forward looking Shaping The Future project.

 

Highlights of the Draft Warragul Town Centre Masterplan include easy access to shopping and services for pedestrians and motorists, improved parking near shops and providing the services and amenities the community requires moving into the future.

 

It is all about people places within Warragul and incorporates:

  • Community places – to shop and share time with friends and family;
  • Character places – laneways and beautiful buildings that make Warragul special;
  • Cultural places – the West Gipplsland Arts Centre and Civic precinct;
  • Gateway places – that welcome people to Warragul; and
  • Opportunity places – key development sites for shopping and business

The Draft Warragul Town Centre Masterplan can be accessed online at www.bawbawshire.vic.gov.au, at Council offices and service centres in Civic Place, Smith Street, Drouin and Trafalgar and at Council libraries.
