Whistleblowers Protection

Baw Baw Shire Council is committed to the aims and objectives of the Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 (the Act).

It does not tolerate improper conduct by its employees, officers or members, nor the taking of reprisals against those who come forward to disclose such conduct.

Three key concepts in the reporting system are improper conduct, corrupt conduct and detrimental action.

Whistleblower disclosures may be made to the Protected Disclosure Coordinator, Tim Frederico, Director Compliance and Corporate Services, Civic Place Warragul on (03) 5624 2411.

All correspondence, phone calls and emails from internal or external whistleblowers will be referred to the Protected Disclosure Coordinator.  

Mark all correspondence to the attention of The Protected Disclosure Coordinator – CONFIDENTIAL to be opened by addressee only.
