Want a say in what goes on around the Baw Baw Shire? We encourage residents to get involved, have a say and be heard.
The Baw Baw Shire Council was formed on 2 December 1994. The Shire is made up of the former Shires of Buln Buln and Narracan, City of Warragul and part of the Shire of Yarra Ranges.
Governance describes the overall process by which the Council ensures its decision making is transparent and accountable and that its operation is democratic and well managed.
Nine Councillors represent the Baw Baw Shire Community, with four wards, being Drouin, Mount Worth, North and Warragul.
The formal decision making process of a Council is through Council Meetings, which Councillors are required to attend.
Baw Baw Shire Council facilitate many Civic events within the Shire throughout the year. Civic events include Australia Day, Anzac Day and Remembrance Day to name a few.
