FREEZA YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

What is FReeZA?

FReeZA is an innovative youth development program that gives Victorians aged between 12 -25 the chance to enjoy live band gigs, dance parties and other cultural, recreational and artistic events in supervised and safe venues.

All FReeZA events are drug, alcohol and smoke-free.

Using a ‘by youth, for youth’ approach, the FReeZA program supports young people to lead the delivery of music and cultural events in the local community.

Youth FReeZA Committee

By participating in the Baw Baw Shire Youth FReeZA committee you will be given the chance to make decisions and lead in the staging of events, whilst also broadening networks within the community by connecting with local businesses, schools and other organisations. Being a part of the FReeZA committee will also build your self confidence, create and develop professional relationships, and provide opportunities to explore various education and employment pathways in the music industry.

To be involved in the Youth FReeZA Committee you can apply by filling in a 2012 FReeZA Application Form.

To get involved or to learn more about the FReeZA program contact the FReeZA Worker 5625 0255 or email youth.officer@bawbawshire.vic.gov.au.
