Hard Waste

Residents can dispose of hard waste up to four times a year through our hard waste service.

Next Hard Waste Collection will be scheduled in October 2013.

The hard waste collection service is available for residents who have kerbside garbage collection.

ARRANGEMENT 1

Free Disposal of hard waste at transfer stations:

Households receive 2 hard waste vouchers included with your annual rate notice. These vouchers are for the free disposal of up to 2 cubic metres of hard waste (including green organics) at our transfer stations at Trafalgar, Lardner, Neerim South or Erica any time throughout the year.

You can visit the transfer station once with 2 cubic metres of hard waste OR twice with 1 cubic metre of hard waste (conditions apply). A car boot load or equivalent equals one cubic metre of waste and needs one voucher.

Other waste will be charged at applicable waste disposal fees. No toxic or hazardous waste will be accepted as hard waste.

Vouchers are valid from 1 September to 31 August each year and will not be accepted after the expiry date.

The free hard waste vouchers cannot be used for our kerbside hard waste collection.

ARRANGEMENT 2

Kerbside pick up service for a fee:

Domestic households (not Commercial) that receive our kerbside rubbish collection are eligible to receive a hard waste pick up (maximum 2 cubic metres) during the months of October/November and March/April for a fee.

Bookings and payments can be made prior to each hard waste collection at our Customer Service Centres in Warragul, Drouin or Trafalgar.
