Waterway Management Plan Guidelines

The Waterway Management Plan Guidelines(PDF, 11MB) aim to improve the quality of management along waterways as part of integrated planning, design and management of new open space along waterway corridors and around wetlands.

The purpose of the guidelines are to assist land owners and developers in preparation of waterway management plans to meet the requirements of the responsible authority. The guidelines outline the basic requirements and provide examples and template tables to assist with preparation of the key elements of a waterway management plan, along with links to sources of more detailed information. The guideline does not attempt to include technical information and land owners and developers must inform themselves of best practice information, current strategies and legislation summarised below.
