Baw Baw Shire Council is taking action to plan for future stormwater drainage requirements and has completed the drainage strategies for various townships across the municipality.

In planning for the future growth of the Shire, drainage strategies are being formulated as part of the Shaping the Future program to ensure that appropriate drainage infrastructure is constructed in future developments.

The strategies also review the efficiency of the existing drainage infrastructure and recommend options to mitigate flooding in towns.

At present, information is available on the following Drainage Strategies for the following townships:

  • Drouin
  • Longwarry
  • Yarragon
  • Trafalgar
  • Warragul
