On Display Indefinitely

Are you passionate about the early years? Do you have innovative ideas to make Baw Baw Shire a great community for our young children? Are you able to make an ongoing commitment to work and advocate for the early years in the community?

If so, we want to hear from you.

Council recognises that the Early Years are vitally important to the growth and development of our children. With this in mind, Council is convening an Early Years Advisory Committee to:

  • Provide advice to Council on Early Years matters,
  • provide Council with links to the broader Early Years community and to improve communication to and from Council.
  • Support the review and development of Council’s Municipal Early Years Plan.
  • Provide input into Council’s Municipal Early Years Infrastructure Plan, and Long-Term Infrastructure Plan (where these relate to Early Years matters).

Community member and service provider representatives will be appointed by Council for a maximum 4-year term.

Suitable community members are encouraged to submit an ‘Expression of Interest’ including a brief explanation of their suitability before 5.00pm on Friday 27 July 2018.

Submissions can be made by phone at 5624 2540, email at leonie.martens@bawbawshire.vic.gov.au or in person at the Family and Children’s Services Office at 144 Normanby Street in Warragul.
