Residents can book and pay for a hard waste collection between 13 and 29 March with the collection happening from 16 to 27 April.
The collection costs $62 or $30 for pensioners. You can place up to two cubic metres (one trailer load) of hard waste on your nature strip. Hard waste must be placed on your nature strip by Sunday evening 15 April. If you miss this date, additional costs may be incurred.

Please note this paid collection is being made available in addition to the annual no charge “at call” kerbside hard waste collection that is now available to all residents.

Acceptable hard waste
Furniture and household appliances; Paint tins (empty with lids removed); Electronic equipment such as TVs and DVDs; Car tyres (maximum of 4); Washing machines, stoves and fridges with doors removed; Timber (no longer than 1.5 metres and no more than 10 pieces); Mattresses and bed bases (maximum of 2); Scrap metal, car parts and lawn mowers; Glass and china (securely wrapped and labelled “glass or china”); Branches and prunings (tied and separated from other materials) less than 1.5 metres in length.
Non Acceptable hard waste
Building and renovation materials including cement sheeting, fences, bricks, tiles and concrete; General garden waste (other than branches/ prunings), soil or earth; Household waste and recyclables; Car batteries; Asbestos and other hazardous waste; Motor oil and engine blocks; Dangerous goods including household chemicals and pesticides; Gas cylinders.
