Council at its meeting on Tuesday 24 April approved and authorised the Chief Executive Officer to give public notice of the draft revised Council Plan 2017-2021, draft 2018/19 Annual Budget including the schedule of fees and charges, draft Long Term Financial Strategy 2018/19 - 2027/28 and draft Rating Strategy 2018/19 (the documents).
The documents are available for public inspection on the Council’s website at www.bawbawshire.vic.gov.au/HaveYourSay and in hardcopy at Customer Service Centres.
Written submissions pursuant to Sections 125 and 129 of the Local Government Act 1989(the Act), and requests for verbal submissions pursuant with Section 223 of the Act on any proposal contained in the documents must reach the Council by 5.00pm on Thursday 24 May 2018.
Submissions can be made via an online survey, in writing or in person at one of Council’s Customer Service Centres.
All written submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Baw Baw Shire Council, PO Box 304, Warragul, VIC 3820. Email submissions should be made to email@example.com.
Any person who has made a written submission may appear (or be represented by another person) at a Special Council Meeting to be held at 5.30pm on Wednesday 6 June 2018, and speak in support of their submission. Those wishing to speak should indicate their intention to do so in their written submission.
Council will give notice of its decision in accordance with Section 130(2) of the Act, following adoption of the documents at the ordinary meeting of Council on Wednesday 27 June 2018.
