This aim of the Recreation Department is to develop an active and healthy community by encouraging widespread participation in recreation activities within the Shire. The service is responsible for the management and use of sporting grounds and facilities, provides advice to Council on local recreation needs and assists community sporting and recreational clubs to offer a broad range of opportunities by assisting with funding applications, event management, promotion and issues relating to license agreements with Council.
