In-home service to help you maintain a safe and hygienic living environment and may include support with vacuuming, mopping floors, changing bed linen and laundry assistance.
The Pet Program aims to offer volunteer assistance with the care of a client’s pet.
Volunteers assist with light gardening duties including weeding, potting, watering, sweeping, raking and light pruning.
Friendly visiting involves matching a client to a volunteer based on assessment of compatibility. This volunteer then becomes a friend to the client. They may perform a number of roles, including regular monitoring, visits for a cup of tea and companionship, playing games or accompanying the person on outings and other social activities that may arise.
This service offers medical related transport options to eligible persons who would otherwise be housebound. Enabling them attend medical appointments or treatment, both locally and in Melbourne.
A range of Home Maintenance services to eligible individuals to assist remaining safe within their home. Minor maintenance tasks that are undertaken include:
- Installing smoke detectors or changing their batteries
- Changing light bulbs
- Replacing tap washers
- Repairing door hinges
- Installing mobility aides such as handrails or hand held showers (following an assessment by an occupational therapist)
- Safety focus tasks such as cleaning spouting, windows and pruning.
We are unable to assist with lawn mowing, tasks requiring a qualified tradesman or cosmetic style services such as landscaping.
