Animals for Adoption

To adopt a pet, please contact the Council’s Compliance team on 5624 2411.

An adoption fee of $210 for dogs and $165 for cats is applicable.
The fee includes:

• A veterinary health check;
• Vaccinations;
• Desexing; and
• Microchipping.

The fee will be reduced for any animal already desexed or microchipped, and the first Council pet registration is free.
By law, all cats and dogs must be desexed, microchipped and vaccinated before being adopted from the pound.
