Friends of Bushland Reserves Groups

Friends of Baw Baw National Park

 

Friends Groups are formed by interested community members who volunteer their time to work together to conserve and protect a specific bushland reserve, historical feature, roadside verge or waterway, managed by the Shire or Parks Victoria. We can assist with training, provision of plants and seeds, plus tools and equipment.  

 

Activities of Friends Groups include

  • Rubbish collection
  • Weed removal
  • Native tree and shrub planting
  • Seed collection
  • Weed control using herbicides
  • Erosion control
  • Signage and fencing
  • Fire management
