Baw Baw Shire Council received a Keep Australia Beautiful - Beverage Container Recycling Community Grant (Coca-Cola Foundation) to implement a recycling system at the Buln Buln, Ellinbank and Trafalgar Recreation Reserve.  The recycling program is estimated to divert tonnes of recyclable products from landfill.  The recycling program will be up and running for the 2012 Footy Season, so please pay attention to the signage at these sites and do the right thing.

E-Waste Recycling

There's plenty of ways to reduce the amount of rubbish going into landfill. One of the best ways of doing this is making sure you recycle your electronic waste. All your computers, tvs, videos, mobile phones and other electronic goods can be recycled FREE at our transfer stations. In the past year we've recycled over 50 tonnes of electronic waste.

The Tube Terminator

It sounds ominous but the Tube Terminator is a wonderful machine which gobbles up and recycles light globes.

You can take your light globes - including incandescent bulbs, energy efficient bulbs and fluorescent globes - to any transfer station in the Shire for FREE to be recycled.

WasteWise Offices

All Baw Baw Shire Council offices are WasteWise. This means we've made a HUGE effort to reduce our waste and recycle. More than 90% of the waste from our offices is recycled! And we've even started trialling composting at work.

Do you recycled at your work? If you'd like to know more call the Environment Officer on 5624 2411.
