Baw Baw Shire hosts a range of information sessions, workshops, seminars and networking opportunities for small businesses in the region.
The following outlines each session (until November 2012) and provides a brief description of the content being delivered, and a snapshot of their particular relevance to small business owners or intenders.
Grow Your Business Program - Planning for Business Change
Have you planned how your business will respond to the carbon tax and predicted local market and industry changes?
Understanding your market, your costs, implementing good business practices and having a PLAN are essential for achieving business success.
This interactive business planning program will:
- Provide a framework to help you identify immediate business risks and opportunities
- Plan to address or capitalise on business risks and opportunities
- Provide businesses with practical tips, checklists and templates that can be applied immediately
The program includes a series of workshops and one-on-one business coaching sessions, and commences June 2012.
The cost of the program is heavily subsidised. Places are strictly limited to ten (10) local businesses, and eligibility criteria will apply.

Baw Baw Community Network Breakfast
You are invited to attend the Baw Baw Community Network Breakfast with Guest Speaker Lisa Alexander “The High PerformingTeam – A Journey of Learning and Resilience”
It has been a long journey to the top of the sport of netball, with many bends and twists along the way. Lisa has taken up the challenges with great gusto and with a big dollop of common sense. She is guided by her unending quest for excellence and learning more about the world she inhabits.
