Welcome to the Baw Baw Halal. This information is aimed at assisting local businesses to assess their suitability to produce halal products and access or expand their halal markets. It also assists buyers to source halal products manufactured in Baw Baw Shire and other companies included in the Baw Baw Country Halal Program.
Background
The Baw Baw Halal Marketing Project was launched at the Australia Halal Trade 2006 Expo held in the Exhibition Buildings, Melbourne Australia. Baw Baw Halal Marketing provides a network of local halal producers with a joint marketing facility to assist them in accessing new markets and promoting their products. The Baw Baw Shire Council is working with other local businesses to assist with further expansion of halal accreditation.

To assist Baw Baw Shire businesses in determining the viability of accessing world halal markets, Council has commissioned research into the halal market and in 2008 produced Halal market - A Beginers Guide, this was further followed by research into the The Halal Market - A Beginners Guide - China & Japan.
