Where can I get advice?
People who intend to establish a new business are encouraged to contact Baw Baw Shire staff regarding assistance and to also consider other government organisations who are able to offer support. Particular advice can be accessed through the Victorian Government website www.business.vic.gov.au
What assistance can Council provide?
Council assistance for new businesses is generally restricted to facilitation activities but in some cases this may be extended to include other assistance.
Baw Baw Shire Business Connect
Council runs or promotes a number of business programmes and strategies aimed at assisting businesses to grow and develop. These programmes include networking sessions, training programmes, business awards, promotional programmes, trade missions and many other day to day activities. To get involved, Council has a confidential in-house directory detailing what each business does, including their contact details. This database allows Council to contact businesses regarding programmes and opportunities. Get your business registered with Council’s Economic Development Unit.
