Workshops for volunteer groups and individuals
A workshop around volunteer group responsibilities was recently held in Warragul as part of National Volunteers Week.
Erica and Noojee War Memorials restoration funding
Baw Baw Shire Council recently received a grant of $18,489 by the Minister Assisting the Premier on Veterans Affairs, Mr Tony Robinson towards restoration works on the Erica and Noojee War Memorials.

Generosity and cooperation between the community and Baw Baw Council are bringing small joys back into the lives of families affected by the fires. The Neerim District Quilters and Friends have donated over 20 quilts to Baw Baw Shire Council. Case managers, who are assisting in the recovery of bushfire survivors in Baw Baw are helping to identify people to receive one of the group’s quilting creations.

The evening will explore the use of art and artists in non art venues and how partnerships with artists can enhance your business.

Transport is rated as one of the big issues facing people living in rural Victoria and the State Government’s Transport Connections Project is seeking ways to work in partnership with the community to address issues around people finding it hard to connect with services such as medical appointments, job interviews, training opportunities catching up with friends or any issue around transport which hinders their full participation in community life.
