Baw Baw Shire Council earns silver level Waste Wise certification
Baw Baw Shire Council has moved up a level in its waste reduction efforts and on 6 April was awarded Silver Waste Wise Certification for the next two years. The Silver Certification was presented by the Gippsland Regional Waste Management Group, with Executive Officer Andrea Klindworth congratulating the Council on the actions that had earned the certification.
Make firewood collection safe and sustainable
To help ensure the sustainable management of Victoria's forests, the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) controls the amount of firewood collected and the areas that are available for collection.
Online Marketing program to for small businesses in Baw Baw Shire
Baw Baw Shire Council and the Victorian Government are joining forces to support the growth of local home based, small and medium-sized businesses, by hosting a subsidized On-Line Marketing program in the months of May and June.
STATE GOVERNMENT GRANT A BOOST TO FAMILY FUN DAY
On Thursday 26 March, Minister for Regional and Rural Development Jacinta Allen announced a $25,585 grant from the Victorian Government toward the Family Fun Day event at Lardner Park
